Our salon of talents and tales is venturing away from the shaded porches of Pine Street in the river-bound city of Jacksonville and setting up camp with our fellow masqueraders at Love Burn this February. All are welcome to spend some time with us as we celebrate the performative skills of fellow Love Burners through a classic open mic night and a live storytelling event.
Folks with stage fright are welcome!
Stop by to be inspired, make some new friends, and support live art.
Friday Night | 7 to 9 PM
Have a talent you’re excited to share with your fellow Burners? If so, join us for a rousing (but very encouraging) open mic night. Amateurs and professionals alike are welcome. Sign up beforehand to secure your slot and start practicing your favorite song, funniest jokes, or most moving spoken word.
Walk-ups are welcome, space permitting.
Saturday Night | 7 to 9 PM
Have a penchant for tall tales? Or maybe the truth is your medium. Whatever lore you choose to share, prepare to throw down against your fellow Burners in a match of enlightenment and entertainment.
Stories can be about anything – fiction or nonfiction – but ideally, they should give us all the feels. Sign up for a chance to participate. Participants’ names will be drawn out of a hat to keep the order random, the storytellers on their toes, and the audience on the edge of their seats. At the end of the show, we’ll vote on the best tale and present the winner with a token of our appreciation.
Walk-ups are welcome, space permitting.
